About Robison Wells’ Life

Who Is Robison Wells?

I am from Salt Lake City, Utah, and I have lived along the Wasatch Front (the mountain range that runs north to south past Ogden, Provo, and Salt Lake City) the majority of my life, except for a few years I lived in the Four Corners area (including Arizona, Colorado, and—my love—New Mexico), which I write about all the time.

I did an associates degree at Salt Lake Community College, which I really loved. I moved to the University of Utah, where I got a BS degree in Political Science/International Relations, with an emphasis in the Middle East, and I minored in history. And I got an MBA in Marketing from the Marriott School at Brigham Young University.

I have been married to my lovely wife, Erin, for nearly 26 years, and she’s an absolute delight. I have three sons, who are all getting old (but for some reason not moving out??? What’s wrong??) I also have a dog and a cat. The dog is great, one day the cat got on the shelf where every single writing award I’d ever received sat, and shattered every one of them on the floor. Damn cat.

Aside from writing, I have been deep into art since I was a little kid, starting to take oil painting classes in the 5th grade. I still play around with it, but not as much as I used to. Here are a bunch of my drawings.

For four years I ran a website based on miniature wargaming, but changes in the internet economy made it impossible to continue, so it went the way of all the earth. I still paint Space Marines and collect an inordinate amount of Stormcast Eternals. You can look at my miniatures here.
