Tangled Web Outline
Here's a partial outline for an early version of Tangled Web. I have the whole thing, but I was too lazy to scan all fifteen pages of it. Like I said with Watermark's outline, I like to keep it all on one page--I didn't here, and it's a pain in the neck. Anyway, here's the first page of the outline, chapters one through three.
You'll notice here that Rebekah's blowing up was the prologue of the book, rather than the end of the first act, as it is in The Counterfeit. In Tangled Web, I used the explosion to get them in the Witness Protection Program. And the explosion used to take place at an Italian restaurant in Salt Lake, causing all sorts of damage.
Remember in The Counterfeit's deleted scenes, how Eric wanted to use the cover that he was a traveling artist? In this book, that actually was his cover--and he becomes friends with another artist, a guy named Amadeus. (This is in a very early version of Tangled Web, by the way.)
Another weird thing with this version of the book was that Alisa (Nicole) was friends with Rebekah. Rebekah was much healthier here, and actually took a part-time job at the antiques shop. The scene that this section of the outline refers to has Eric, still very nervous about any strangers, first meeting Alisa--he thinks she's a burglar.
